(Harrisburg, PA)—Dr. Linda W. Marcincin, principal of Slatington Elementary School in Slatington, Pa., has been elected for a second term as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals (PAESSP), headquartered in Summerdale, Pa. Dr. Marcincin previously served as an assistant principal at Northern Lehigh High for two years, and as an assistant principal at Northern Lehigh Middle School for eight years. She has been a member of PAESSP for 15 years. Dr. Marcincin was appointed to the secretary position in 2007. Prior to her first tem, she served as the East II regional elementary representative to the PAESSP board of directors. As a PAESSP regional representative, she organized principal meetings for the eastern regions. She has also served as a member of the PAESSP conference committee, and has attended the PAESSP conference regularly for the past seven years. Dr. Marcincin earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Moravian College, and a master’s of arts degree in English from New York University. She received a certification as a reading specialist from Kutztown University, and holds a principal certification and superintendent’s letter of eligibility from Lehigh University.
