SAFE - Safety Application for Education - is Pennsylvania's customized training program on safety in schools, targeting PAST - parents, administrators, students and teachers.
SAFE is offered through the Public Safety Center at Harrisburg Area Community College. The course can be conducted at the beginning of the school day, during elective hours, lunch hours, in-service, after school, weekends or weeknights at each school location. School district officials select their own participants.
Regular course fees range from $1,900 to $3,500 depending on number of individuals from a participating district. HACC will award an adult education certificate of completion.
