Keeping Our Children Safe: Strategies for Schools and Communities

May 2 - 4, 2005 at the Hilton Harrisburg and Towers

Plan now to attend the annual Safe Schools Conference in Harrisburg Pennsylvania at the newly expanded Hilton Harrisburg and Towers.

The conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest research in school safety and violence prevention, learn about effective program models and practices from state and national experts and network with your colleagues.

School climate/culture, student behavior and academics are inter-connected elements that impact student success, teacher and staff satisfaction and performance, and community/parent involvement. This conference will focus on creating a positive school culture that supports academic success as well as a safe teaching and learning environment.

Who should attend? School administrators, student support personnel, teachers, school nurses, SAP team members, school resource officers, local law enforcement and other community partners.

Details and registration materials will be posted on the Safe Schools' web site in February, http://www.center-school.org.

Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education with the Center for Safe Schools/Center for Schools and Communities.
