Free Tobacco-Free Education Program Available
A free tobacco-free education program is available for 4th- and 5th-graders from the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians & Foundation. The "Tar Wars" lesson teaches students the many benefits of not using tobacco, and the efforts tobacco companies make to attract youth to tobacco products.
This highly interactive, one-hour program is presented in schools by family physicians, resident physicians, medical students and other health care professionals and health educators.
For more information or to reserve a speaker, contact Pat Bricker, Tar Wars coordinator at the Pennsylvania Academy & Foundation, at (717) 564-5365 or via email at [email protected]. Additional information on Tar Wars is available at www.tarwars.org.
