PDE Web Site Moves to New Location

Coming very soon, the PDE will complete the move to its new web site.  This time, PDE will move all of the K-12 information and the home page. You'll know that the move has happened when you see human beings on the home page, instead the old, familiar Pennsylvania map.   

The web address (www.pde.state.pa.us) will not change.  That URL will point to the new site when it's online.   

HOWEVER...all OTHER bookmarks/favorites/links you have established to K-12 information on the PDE site will no longer point to current information. You should get rid those bookmarks/favorites/links, find the appropriate section on the new site, and reestablish your bookmarks and links.  

PDE is aware that computer change is disconcerting. When you know how to find what you need, it is a nuisance to have to look for it in a different place.   

BUT...this change to the Commonwealth's Dynamic Site Framework offers real benefits for a site as large as PDE’s has become. Bureaus and offices in the Department will be able to maintain and update their own sections of the web site in order to meet the information needs of their constituents.
