Governor Rendell's Education Plan

   The Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals supports many of the Rendell administration education reform proposals found in the Plan for a New Pennsylvania:

• Early childhood education for preschoolers.
• Full-day kindergarten.
• Reduced class size for K-3.
• Mathematics and literacy tutoring for non-achieving students.
• Increased staff development funding.
• Mathematics and literacy instructional coaches for teachers.
• Increased funding for laboratory and technology development.
