Alternate PSSA Reading and Math Testing Window

Due to the impact of the recent severe weather on
school closings, PDE is offering an alternate PSSA Reading & Math testing
window for districts that have had four or more snow days between February 1 and
February 28 and will not have made up any of these four days prior to March 19.
The alternate testing window is
March 19 through 30 with all materials picked up for return to DRC no later than
the close of the school day on Friday, March 30, 2007.
Districts electing to test during this alternate testing window MUST send
an email from the Superintendent to Ray Young (chief, Division of Assessment, [email protected])
indicating (a) their desire to test
during the alternate window; (b)
their assurance that testing materials will remain unopened and undistributed
until March 19; (c) the exact dates
when schools were closed; and (d) the
planned make-up days.
